Unsaid

Once you say something, especially on a blog, it cannot be unsaid.

So I have been dragging my feet about an update to my Monday post about what to do about all these toxic habits of mine.  I have an idea, and I have started to work on it, but I'm nervous about "putting it out there".  My stomach is actually a little wobbly right now knowing I'm about to type what I'm about to type.

But here it goes.

I have 88% for sure decided to begin a total life makeover/makeunder.  To dedicate my 33rd year of life (birthday fast approaching) to a simpler, lighter, greener, spiritually revived life.  And to do that, I have (naturally) turned to one of the few things I know I actually love to do enough to keep at it: a new blog.

It is only in its baby stages, so you, dedicated blog readers, can have a sneak peek because I would LOVE some feedback.  Anything from the look, layout, concepts, tabs, to general "Hell no, you are crazy"-type warnings.  Gulp:  http://www.greengrayandgrace.blogspot.com/

I don't think the comments are enabled on it yet, but you can comment here or send me an email.  I will have to make some adjustments to this blog and the AugBlog too, because from what I can tell, they will all somehow end up linked together if I am not careful.  And I'd prefer this blog stay a big closer to the vest.  So, I'm working on that and will keep you posted.

In the mean time, I would like to ask for your prayers and good vibes, as I'm going to my hair appointment tomorrow to discuss the strategy for one of the key components to this project, and also the one that scares me spitless and inspires the 12% hesitation - the going gray part.  I keep telling myself that if I had the discipline to run a friggin marathon, I can handle becoming a silver fox at 33.  If I (or Hubs) decide it is just too big of an appearance stumbling block, I'll have to come up with a new plan.  But for now, consider it SAID.

You know, I have read amazing things on your link to Bonzai Aphrodite and think I will actually give up the shampoo this year (not a stretch considering I'm on average shower 2 to 3 times a week). Anyways she had I though a whole list of hair dye suggestions, and I know the Environmental Working group has a list of them with their grade. Now if it is all about simplification and being natural, I'm totally into it and supportive! Im heading over right now to take a new look at the blog.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! And you are totally canning with me this summer. Start monitoring your tomato consumption in recipes. What size cans, how frequently, etc. Ditto for pasta sauce. Same for tomato paste (but that you'll freeze). Then as a bonus we'll do some whole fruits or jams. Be on the look out for freecycle mason jars or little old ladies at church who just aren't up to it any more (or if memory serves me right - wedding decor?). Do you have a space to grow Roma tomatoes? Start planning I'm your sponsor for this step!
