Crazy Love

Is it the heat? The inevitable ridiculousness of an apartment that feels like a crock pot? The "you have to laugh or you're going to cry" exhaustion of multiple power outages? The ADORABLENESS of a small dog who looks like he is laughing as he pants all day and drags his little bed so that it sits a foot away from the fan? (Check him out - he may inspire you to spontaneously hug someone too):

I don't know. But I'm pretty crazy in love with my Hubs and pup these days. I can't wait to go home and be with my boys. Even if it's just to lie on the wood floor together, laughing at how pointless the window AC units turned out to be. Laughing at the fact that we look disgusting and have no clean clothes because SURPRISE! the dark secret of having an in-unit washer/dryer is that the dryer pumps all that stupid hot air back into your crock pot apartment.

Laughing. It feels good. It's always good, no matter who you are with or what you are doing. But it sounds sparkly when you both realize that it has been so long since you could laugh like this. Hubs is still working his butt off in a scramble to publish. I'm still wringing my hands about what "is next" for me, us, everything. But this HOT hot week has been an unexpected patch of hilarity in our grimy little sweat lodge. And I am loving it.
