That which doesn't kill you...

I drafted an update post about my new digs under the bus after being thrown there by, thanks to a craptacular job review on Thursday. But I decided that the blogosphere is not the place to go into the things I really wanted to write about, so this will have to suffice:

First, thanks to everyone who commented, emailed, or texted with my in my despair. I appreciate the support, and I really needed it.

Second, I just want to say that I feel like the whole world has changed in the last 48 hours. I feel empowered, resolved, energized, and somewhat vindicated. That's about all I can say about that here, but just know that it hasn't killed me, and I have learned A TON in the last two days that I would not have learned if I had not gone into crisis mode. I'm going to be a better, wiser worker and a stronger person because of this. And while it's a sucky way to have to get to this enlightened place, I'm feeling good about it. I still have some verrrry uncomfortable meetings coming up, but my skin is a bit thicker and my eyes are a bit sharper than they were just 2 days ago.

Here's to painful, necessary change!
